Rangers deemed 'very attractive again' to potential signing targets as Rohl praises board for staying on 'front foot'
Ibrox boss opens up on his plans for the remainder of the January transfer window after Rangers breeze past Annan Athletic in Scottish Cup
Danny Rohl has declared he is keeping the other areas of his Rangers squad he wants to strengthen during the remainder of the January window “a secret”.
The Ibrox boss watched his Light Blues second-string breeze past Annan Athletic 5-0 to progress in the Scottish Cup before opening up on his transfer plans for the next couple of weeks.
A trio of new signings were introduced to the crowd prior to kick-off on Friday night as latest arrival Andreas Skov Olsen joined fellow recruits Tochi Chukwuani and Tuur Rommens to pose for official unveiling photos.

But Rangers aren’t finished conducting their business in the transfer market, with Rohl keeping his cards close to his chest when asked about his short-term plans.
Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland, the German boss said: “When I see our three signings, they are good characters, good size, physical and strong. He (Skov Olsen) has experience and gives us a different profile.
“We work really hard. Three months ago, we weren’t sure everyone had the quality to play here, but players stepped up. We are a strong team and we have confidence going onto the pitch.”
Quizzed on what positions he still wants to strengthen further while the window remains open, Rohl added: “Yes, but it’s my secret. We have players who need minutes and the opportunity to play, but our focus is on what we can bring in to strengthen the squad. The board is on the front foot.
“We have a young group with some experience. In a title race, you need that and you need the right balance. We are very attractive again, especially with the opportunity to win a title.”
Rohl satisfied with cup rout but claims fringe men ‘weren’t connected’
Giving his assessment of his side’s performance, Rohl commented: “5-0 is a good result for us. We needed a little bit of time. We rotated the players and they weren’t too connected but they got better and better as the game wore on.
”We controlled the game. Respect to the opponent, they gave everything. But this is what we had to do today, not more. It’s about recovering now. We have big games ahead of us. All in all, I’m happy.
“We spoke about the opposition in the first half. We missed some opportunities, we were not disciplined enough. Second half was better and we should be hungry for more goals in the game.”
