A Rangers legend is said to be in discussions over entering the I’m a Celebrity jungle.
Ally McCoist is said to be in "advanced talks" to head out for the reality show filmed in Australia, with just a few weeks to go until the new ITV series gets underway. Bosses remain “very hopeful” they will land the former striker at the third attempt, after the Rangers hero turned them down in 2019 and 2022, according to the Mirror.

Hide AdMcCoist was involved in negotiations two years ago but it didn’t happen at the last minute, and the same thing panned out three years prior to that. However, insiders are believed to be confident that McCoist will be in situ when the show kicks off later this year.
Since hanging up his boots, McCoist has carved out a successful career in broadcasting and punditry north and south of the border. A source said: “Ally has such a huge fan base thanks to his years of commentating and punditry, plus his long stint on A Question of Sport.
“He’d be great for the jungle - as his wife and kids have been telling him forever - so everyone is really hopeful that this will be the year.”
Someone who McCoist could be sharing camp with is Mick McCarthy. Glasgow World reported recently that the former Celtic defender was also a target to appear on the hit show. McCarthy spent two years as a Celtic player between 1987 and 1989 and has managed Republic of Ireland, Wolves and others.
