What has captain, James Tavernier said?

“It is not the spot we want to be in at this stage of the season, but it is still very early so there are a lot of games to play. This is obviously the first trophy that you can get your hands on, so it is very important for us to get into the final and try to retain the trophy, that is our aim.

“We had a bad performance and result against Kilmarnock and then we were able to bounce back in Europe so we know as a team we have the performance levels there but it is about being consistent and delivering performances and results every single game.

“The players are fully-committed to turning things around, the lads want to win games. The manager is getting criticism, and the team are getting criticism but that happens when you don't get the results that you want. It is down to us as players to improve ourselves and obviously first and foremost deliver the results that the club want, and the fans want.”
