THIS defeat at Guy’s Meadow on Monday night leaves United in real danger of being one of the four teams to be relegated unless points can be won in the final two league matches.
The first half of this game was very scrappy with very little real action. Glencairn scored in the 42nd minute to be ahead at the interval.
The second period was not much better as a spectacle and despite a lot of the ball United seldom looked likely to equalise although they did have a goal disallowed. Three Cumbernauld men ordered off in the last seven minutes did not help matters and the visitors got a second goal at the end to wrap up the points.
