Youssef Chermiti hung in the air before sending a spectacular acrobatic effort beyond Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo to give Rangers the lead in last Sunday’s 2-2 Old Firm draw at Ibrox.
And with it the much-maligned Light Blues striker has sparked a debate on social media - was his incredible overhead kick the best goal EVER scored in 138 years of the famous derby fixture? It’s quite a claim given some of the memorable goals scored in this iconic match-up throughout the years.
Chermiti undoubtedly displayed astonishing technique as he rose with his back to goal to send Andreas Skov Olsen’s cross into the back of the net and send the home crowd wild. It marked the third of four goals scored against Celtic this season and will live long in the memory.
Here, GlasgowWorld picks out ten of the finest goals in Old Firm derby history that could rival Chermiti as the greatest of all time:

1. Davie Cooper - August 1979
Wing king Cooper netted what is regarded by many as the best Old Firm goal of all time. It was a brilliant solo effort as he danced effortlessly past several players before tucking the ball past Celtic keeper Peter Latchford in Rangers' 3-1 Dryburgh Cup final triumph. | SNS Group

2. Jota - September 2022
Ange Postecoglou's side produced a rampant first half performance in a comprehensive 4-0 win over their rivals with the second goal a real standout finish. It was the Portuguese winger's delightful chip over onrushing keeper Jon McLaughlin after making a darting run to latch onto Matt O'Riley's pass that showed all the class of Larsson's 22 years earlier. | Getty Images

3. Henrik Larsson - August 2000
This was Martin O'Neill's first Old Firm derby clash as Celtic manager during his first spell in charge - and what a start it was. The pick of the SIX Hoops goals in the 'Demolition Derby' was Swedish striker Henrik Larsson's deft lob over stranded Rangers keeper Stefan Klos after setting out on a mazy run as the balance of power started to shift in Glasgow. | Getty Images

4. Jonas Thern - April 1998
Walter Smith's side were chasing a record TENTH consecutive league title and they landed an derby day blow on their bitter rivals with a 2-0 victory at Ibrox, sealed with a stunning strike from Jonas Thern. However, Rangers would go on to lose the title on the final day of the season. | SNS Group
