Forth Wanderers’ Kingshill Park is vandalised again

THE home ground of Forth Wanderers Junior FC has been hit by a vandalism attack and break-in which will cost around £800 to fix.

Intruders broke into the hospitality Portakabin next to the club’s Kingshill Park pavilion late on Friday, March 29 and smashed a wooden wall panel before stealing soft drinks from a fridge.

“The people who did this are mindless yobs,” said Forth secretary Jim Kelly.

“They have no respect for what our club’s committee is trying to do.

“We are trying to run a club that helps the community, but that is made more difficult by vandalism like this.

“I’ve been associated with Forth Wanderers for 37 years and I often ask myself: ‘Is it worth continuing’?

“But if I stop then the criminals have won.”

The latest attack on Kingshill Park comes after several similar incidents there in recent years including the destruction of a lawn mower and vandalism to pay booths, gates and fencing.
