The game started with both sides making mistakes and Lenzie opened the scoring through Arnott when the visitors gave away a careless penalty.

But Allan Glen’s replied with two well taken tries scored by Kirk and Reilly, both of which were as a result of a great break by young McConnell and some soft Lenzie defence.

Allan Glen’s looked dangerous when they moved the ball and this proved to be the case when they ran in another unconverted try to take the score to 15-6 at the break.

Lenzie started the second period well and their forwards were now dominant in every phase of the game.

This improvement allowed Wood to score early in the period and Letford was very unlucky when he lost control of the ball as he crossed the whitewash.

With 10 minutes remaining Lenzie turned their possession into points when they scored a great team try through Letford to edge in front 16 - 15.

In the final minutes Lenzie gave away possession which led to a late converted score for Allan Glen’s to win the game.
