Diploma success for Dullatur duo

TWO members of staff at Dullatur Golf Club both had something to celebrate recently but this time it was off the course success that was causing the champagne bottles to be opened.

General manager John Bryceland (pictured above left) and club professional Crawford Riddell both completed diplomas in their respective qualifications – John for a diploma in club management from the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) and Crawford for a diploma from the European Golf Teaching Federation (EGTF).

John’s diploma was presented at an awards ceremony in Stirling recently and he was one of only ten club managers across Europe to be presented with this qualification.

John said: “It is great that Dullatur Golf Club has supported me in attaining this qualification and I have learned a tremendous amount from the course that I have already put into practice at the club”.

Crawford’s diploma came about as a result of an intensive week long course that he had to undertake recently in La Manga, Spain.

Crawford echoed John’s comments and added: “It was a great opportunity to go on this teaching course which will ultimately benefit the members at the club when they take lessons with me.”
