Golfer Alistair still collecting trophies after 30 years

Bishopbriggs Golf Club member Alistair Macpherson has proved he still has what it takes after scooping a magnificent seven trophies this year - continuing success that has lasted 30 years.

Alistair (58) joined in the club in 1985 and has won the club championship no fewer than eight times, through the 80s and 90s to his last triumph in 2004.

And he’s still going strong - this year’s haul presented at the club’s recent of prizes evening included the Captain’s Prize Scratch, Seniors Matchplay Championship, First Class Medal Finals, Bobby Blackley Trophy, Texaco Cup, Pettigrew Trophy and Jubilee Trophy.
