Care UK’s Wellmeadow Lodge, on Meadow Way, teamed up with Lauder Lodge, Murrayside and Cairdean House, in Edinburgh, as well Tor-Na-Dee in Aberdeen, to donate £3,000 to support Scottish professional golfer, Marc Owenson.

The donation will support Marc on his summer tour across Scotland and go towards logistics and equipment costs, including a custom golf bag, branded with Care UK’s colours: white, pink and purple.

Catherine Brannan, home manager at Wellmeadow Lodge, said: “The community is an important part of life here at Wellmeadow Lodge, so we are always looking for new ways to give back and it’s wonderful to be able to support a Scottish athlete.

“Many residents enjoy golf, so there’s no doubt we will be following Marc throughout the season, and we are looking forward to working with him on future projects. Best of luck Marc!”

Marc Owenson, professional golfer from Gullane Pro Shop, added: “I’m really excited to be spending the summer doing what I love and competing in high-levels tournament at home, in Scotland, and the support that sponsors provide is truly invaluable.

“I’d like to thank Care UK and the team at Wellmeadow Lodge for their support.”

Marc Owenson is also sponsored by Drop Kick Murphys Edinburgh, Garleton Lodge, Wee Wonders and Gullane Golf Club.
