Hot shots breeze through scramble

Persistent rain throughout the day on Saturday, July 12 didn’t dampen the spirits of the large field entered for the Summer Texas Scramble fixture at Kilysth Lennox Golf Club.

The event produced a remarkable score of 51.4 for the winning team of Alan J. Brown, Mark Law, Taylor Wilson and Wesley Wilson.

They were comfortable winners by four points from the second placed team of Tom Davidson, Stephen Kelly, Ian Swan and Alan Martin.

On Wednesday, July 9, William Kennedy took top slot in the third round of the Wednesday Shield shooting a net 66.

Hugh Nelson topped the First Class bracket with a fine gross 71.

On Sunday, July 13 the A Team had a comfortable home victory over Dunblane.

With two games to play, the win keeps them in a challenging position for the District title.
