Morning warm for Summer Trophy at Lennox

The early morning starters were lucky with ideal warm playing conditions in the first of two rounds for the Summer Trophy at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club as persistent rain made it difficult for the afternoon slot on Wednesday, June 4.

Taking advantage on an early round, John Boyle posted a season best net 65 which gives him a slender two-shot lead from Callum McCann on 67 making for a tight finish in the two round fixture.

It was deja vu on the weather for the June Medal on Saturday, June 7 and an early round by Richard Napier produced the best net score of the day and claimed his first second class medal with a net 69.
