Ten consecutive rounds in Winter League

Round ten of Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club’s Winter League and remarkably the weekend before Christmas there has been ten consecutive rounds of play.

The few brave souls who managed to dodge the Christmas shopping weekend didn’t do enough to alter the league standings. However, on a difficult weekend for scoring, two players did impress – Ian Carstairs and Andy Heeps both improved their league positions scoring 37 Stableford points.

The four league leaders remained unaltered: League One, Eric O’Neil; League Two, Ian Marshall; League Three, John Love; League Four, Robert Blackwood.

Benefiting best from the kind weather was John Donaldson with 44 Stableford points and Billy Mathieson on 40, putting them into a challenging position in their respective leagues. New Year on the horizon and it’s an exciting time for all challenging for the top two places to qualify for the March final.

The committee of KLGC would like to thank all members and visitors for their support throughout the year and wish everyone a Happy New Year.
