Two trophies awarded at Kilsyth Lennox

Over a busy week of fixtures at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club, two midweek trophies were won.

The Summer Stroke Play was won comfortably by Tony Armour. This is the first trophy Tony has won.

Andrew Brown also won his maiden trophy, taking the Stableford fixture on August 6, with 39 points.

On Saturday, August 9, the first round of the Lennox Trophy saw some good scoring in perfect summer playing conditions. The best net scores came in divisions two and three, when Brian Cusick and John Irvine both had net 66 while Andrew Heeps topped division one with net 67.

The lowest gross scores were shared with William Erskine and Jonathan Davis with matching 71.

The club congratulates William Erskine on winning the Scottish Seniors Over 65s Super Open at Monifieth Links on August 7-8. William had the best scratch score over the two-day fixture when carding a 72 on the first day’s play. His second round of 74 was solid enough to take the prestigious seniors event.
