As if their league position wasn’t bad enough, Robert is having to cope with Craighead Park being flooded (they’ll play this season’s remaining home games in Carluke) – and long-term injuries. But the gutsy ’Gow gaffer is taking everything squarely on the chin.

He said: “We don’t feel sorry for ourselves. The harder we work, the more chance we have of getting out of trouble.”

’Gow’s latest setback came when new signing Colin Kirwan sustained an injury on Saturday which will keep him out for three months.
