Great scores in Wednesday

This year’s Wednesday Shield competition at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club has seen some amazing scores being produced.

On Wednesday, June 26 the trend continued when Sean Clinton topped the scoring with an outstanding net 55.

This score also pushes him into a comfortable lead in the four round format.

In the same competition Chris O’Neil showed some quality when he carded a scratch 73.

William Erskine and Alan J. Brown also had identical 73s.

Saturday, June 30 saw a field of 160 taking to the course for the second round Club Championship qualifier.

In the handicap division Gary Connor had a personal best net 62 which sets him up nicely to qualify for the knockout stages.

Club Champion Hugh Nelson equalled his best of the season when he shot an impressive gross 67.
