John Cumming pitch to be fixed by mid May
THE charred 3G playing surface at Carluke’s John Cumming Stadium is set to be repaired within the next month.
Around £60,000 worth of damage was caused to the synthetic pitch during a recent arson attack, but it would seem that the multi-million pound South Lanarkshire Council-owned facility will soon be returned to its former glory.
Gerry Campbell, general manager of the council’s South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture, said: “We are seeking competitive quotes for repairs to be carried out to the sports pitch.”
