Lanark lad Andrew Forrest wins US football place

AFTER the heartbreak of being rejected by Motherwell FC last Christmas, Lanark lad Andrew Forrest has bounced back in astonishing style.

For centre back Andrew (17), has landed a four-year scholarship in America and a coveted spot in the Christian Brothers University football team, based in Tennessee.

“I’m thrilled to get this opportunity,” Andrew said.

“It starts in August and I’m really looking forward to it.

“I just want to get out there and get started.
