Lanark pro Alan White named in UK’s top 50

VETERAN Lanark Golf Club professional Alan White has been named in the same bracket as the man teaching world number one Rory McIlroy.

Alan (53) and the Irish superstar’s swing advisor Michael Bannon have both been included in the UK’s top 50 golf coaches by leading magazine Today’s Golfer.

Cleghorn resident Alan, who’s been based at Lanark since 1997, said: “There are 7500 golf pros in the British PGA so it is great to be recognised as being in the top 50.
