Run by local Welsh breeders and enthusiasts, the competitive show also offered as much to beginners.

This year’s Superme Champion went to Ayrshire-based Kimmy McNicol on D’Abernon Omen with the reserve championship awarded to Shona Thomson and Cromagtir Dylan.

Clydesdale success came via Cleghorn’s Chloe Smith, who won the local pony class with Glenwood Sapphire. Reserve champion in that class was the Veteran Pony champion Wyken Riverdance, owned by Hazel Galbraith from Auchenheath.

Hazel and Wyken also picked up an award in the Welsh Section C category finishing as Reserve Champion behind A&P Aitken, from Strathaven, with the Barren mare Rhosymeirch Llewelyn.
