Lesmahagow-based Gow Valley FC crowned champions
IN their very first season at 11-a-sides, Lesmahagow-based Gow Valley FC 2000s were crowned under-13 champions in League B of the Lanarkshire Football Development Association.
The players received this top trophy and their medals at the recent LFDA award ceremonies in East Kilbride.
The team’s head coach David Lang praised the players’ superb efforts during what was a hugely successful 2012-2013 season.

Hide AdDavid said: “The team has gone from strength to strength, with many magnificent individual and team performances.”
One of the top individuals was top scorer David Forsyth, who netted two in the 5-3 end-of-season triumph over Mill United which sealed the title for Gow Valley.
