Meikle’s 40th minute header from Stuart Hall’s cross saw him bullet the ball home after outjumping the Lanark defence to give ’Gow victory in their opening Section 1 game.

“Daryl has been an important player for us for the past couple of years,” Robert said.

“He is a young boy who has come into the juniors and done really well.”
