‘lok lose to glencairn
Pollok succumbed to their first defeat since September as Rutherglen Glencairn took a deserved three points back to Lanarkshire with a 2-0 win at Newlandsfield Park.
The deadlock was broken in the 43rd minute, when Glens’ Del Esplin’s through ball allowed Denis McLaughlin to unleash a powerful drive past Jordan Longmuir .
Glencairn made sure of the points in the fourth additional minute after Jamie Darroch was short with a pass-back. Ross McNeil came out on top in the battle with Longmuir, rolled the ball into the net.
Pollok travel to Hurlford this week for the Scottish Junior Cup quarter-final. Kick off at Blair Park is 2.30pm.
