Louis Moult to miss three matches
Motherwell striker Louis Moult is to undergo surgery on a troublesome groin problem that has been affecting him since late last season.
The English forward, who came on as a substitute in Saturday’s 2-0 Betfred League Cup defeat to Rangers, will receive treatment which is expected to keep him out for three matches at the start of the Scottish Premiership campaign.
Moult will miss the trip to Kilmarnock on August 6, the home game with St Johnstone on August 13 and the trip to Rangers on August 20. He will also be doubtful for the home game against Dundee on August 27.
