Motherwell FC’s Stevie Hammell loved his testimonial golf day at Carluke

Stevie, a 12-handicapper, nearly aced the 175-yard par three fifth, where his tee shot with a six iron finished less than a foot from the cup.

“A hole in one would have been very nice,” Stevie said.

“But I hadn’t played since before Christmas so I don’t think anybody would have believed it if I’d managed it!”
