Law and District AAC athletes are virtually strong as they impress in very hot running conditions

Law and District AAC members recently took part in the latest Scottish Athletics virtual challenge.

Scottish Athletics had over 1700 athletes entering with 24 from Law taking part in either a 15-minute or 30-minute time trial.

Law youngsters did very well in the 15-minute time trial with the club finishing in third place.

Oscar Logan was first Law runner followed by Craig Cherrie, Ryan Kellock, Levi Millgan, Cameron Fry, Daniel Simpson, Ross Ferguson, Alex Orr and Callum Lowdon.

For the girls Jesica Inglis was the first Law runner followed by Alayna McCann, Rachel Donnelly, Rachel Stevenson, Lindsay Wishart, Elizabeth Kay and Susannah Kay.

In the 30-minute time trial Darran Muir finished an impressive 15th overall, covering 8.64km in some very warm running conditions.

Darran was first Law runner in the 30-minute event, followed by Rich Beattie, Mark Milligan, Martin Kay and Finn Milligan.

For the women, U17 Nina Fyfe was first Law runner followed by Jennifer Beattie, Vicky Harrison and Margaret Newell.

The next virtual event for the club is a Scottish Athletics road relay event in mid-July.
