Out with the old, in with the new for Pollok

THE transfer merry-go round continued at Newlandsfield this week.

While prolific goalscorer Ian Diack has left Pollok for pastures new, midfielder Josh Horne has joined the club.

The 20-year-old joins from Dumbarton and can play anywhere along the right-hand side and also in the centre of midfield.

Lok boss Tony McInally said: “He’s a big strong player, six feet tall, and he’s got pace.

“He’s the kind of younger, hungrier player that I’m trying to bring into Newlandsfield.”

Meanwhile, striker Diack agreed terms with Linlithgow Rose, and has signed for the East Region champions.

For the 32-year-old journeyman, Linlithgow will be his 12th club.

Aside from his new signing, Tony McInally had another reason to smile after a 5-0 Euroscot Engineering Central League Cup cup win against Renfrew.

On Saturday, it’s back to league action for Lok who travel to Adamslie Park to take on Kirkintilloch RR.

Kick off is at 2pm
