Point to Point Racing returns to Overton Farm

For Overton Farm in Crossford is the venue for up to seven exciting point to point races for an expected crowd of around 2000 to enjoy.

Overton Farm supremo Willie Young, host of the Dumfriesshire and Stewartry meeting, said: “I think that so many people come here because they love the friendly atmosphere and enjoyable day’s racing. My fingers are crossed for good weather!”

The races will range in distance from two-and-a-half to three miles, with spectators getting access to live commentary, 20 bookmakers, hot food and a bar.

Admission to Sunday’s meeting – the forerunner to Overton’s main meeting on Saturday, March 22 – is £10 including a programme with kids under-16 getting in free if accompanied by an adult.
