Pool lovers come together for first ever Scottish Asian Tournament in Glasgow

The Well Foundation and Oceanic Sports have crowned the winner of the inaugural Scottish Asian Pool Tournament (SAPT).
This one-day event was hosted at the Q Club in Glasgow and saw 12 selected participants compete to see who would walk away with the trophy. Every player paid a fee with all money raised going towards the Well Foundation.

Hide AdIt was a single elimination tournament with each game taking place under British Pool Rules. In the end Lovemishra was crowned the winner defeating runner up Zahid in a nail biting final game.

The SAPT is going to be an annual event where local fans of pool can get involved, show off their skills and get competitive. It is the latest successful event for the Well Foundation and Oceanic Sports following the well received Scottish Ladies Football Cup & Soccer 5 Championship.
Oceanic Sports are hoping to bring ethnic minority communities by involving them in exciting sporting events.
A Spokesperson from The Well Foundation said: “This was one of the first non-football events we’ve hosted and we couldn’t be more proud with how it went. We look forward to expanding our list of events while bringing communities together in the name of sport and helping good causes.”
