Robbie settling in nicely as he kicks off the scoring

Pollok returned from Brig O’Lea Stadium against Neilston with three points and a 4-2 win, writes Mark Donnelly.

The deadlock was broken in the 28th minute, Graeme McLaren’s cross into the box being met by Robbie Winters’ diving header.

Neilston restored parity four minutes later, Robbie Cameron finishing coolly past Jordan Longmuir.

Pollok retook the lead in the 52nd minute, Gary Wild’s long ball from the back finding Robbie Winters in behind the defence to register his brace.

The ‘Lok extended their lead in the 54th minute after McDade felled Allan MacKenzie in the box, Davie Winters taking the penalty.

The lead was extended further in the 70th by a McLaren free-kick to Hanlon. The Farmer’s Boys were given a penalty of their own in the 81st minute, Daniel McKay being impeded, and stepping up himself to take the spot-kick.

Pollok are at home to Kirkie Rob Roy on Saturday in another important league match at Newlandsfield Park at 2pm.
