Winters doubled his tally for the afternoon on the half hour mark after Murphy
parried a Finlay Frye effort
into his path for an easy
finish.

He completed his hat-trick two minutes later when Jordan Longmuir’s kick from hand bounced over the Thorniewood defence and Winters was on hand to lob Murphy with a first time effort.

With a three goal lead at the interval, ‘Lok eased off somewhat in the second period, and indeed it was the visiting Woodies who had the best chance of the half.

Charlie Grant played in Gary Millar who cut the ball back to Daly McSorley, his effort saved at point blank range by Longmuir.

Next up for Pollok is another home cup-tie, this time in the Scottish Junior Cup when Whitletts Victoria visit Newlandsfield.

Kick off for this game will be at 2.30pm.
