Strong local showing in tennis open
GIFFNOCK tennis club’s annual junior and senior open tournament was held last week, attracting 200 plus entrants from all over the UK.
West of Scotland players ranked in the top five in both junior and senior events while local success came in both the senior ladies and men’s doubles events.
Giffnock’s Stephanie Norris and Owen Hadden winning with their respective partners ,Elizabeth Watt and Alan McDonald.
Giffnock will hosting the West of Scotland Open championship tournament from August 11 - 17.
