Today’s football and rugby fixtures

WITH a better week in terms of the weather, it is hoped that some football and rugby fixtures will be played today.

Lesmahagow go for Scottish Junior Cup glory against Johnstone Burgh at Craighead Park this afternoon with the winners facing Yoker in the last 16.

In Central Division 1, Carluke Rovers have an away fixture at “home” as their “away” match against Benburb will be played at the John Cumming Stadium.

In the same division Lanark United have a relegation six-pointer against Ashfield while in Division Two Forth travel to East Kilbride.

Kick-off for all the junior football is at 2pm.

Meanwhile Biggar Rugby have a tricky test against Aberdeen Grammar this afternoon while Lanark take on Bishopton at the Racecourse;kick-off for both games is at 3pm.
