Tryst ’77 women’s handball team completed the league and cup double with victory over Glasgow in the Scottish Cup Final.
The win completed an excellent campaign for the Cumbernauld side who stayed unbeaten throughout the season.
Glasgow had gone in to the final after a nail biting extra time win over Edinburgh while Tryst had a more comfortable passage against a new and emerging Dundee side.
Glasgow and Tryst, along with Edinburgh, have been mainstays of Scottish womens handball over the last decade and have produced many exciting clashes through that period. Glasgow have generally held the upper hand in recent seasons but the wind was taken out their sails with the dynamic start Tryst made to the final.
