Pollok boss John Richardson led his side to a hard-fought 1-0 Stagecoach super premier league victory against Glenafton Athletic at Loch Park.

The first half went by goalless and one of the best chances of the game fell to Glenafton’s Glen Mitchell, who almost turned a Mackay cross into his own net after 49 minutes.

The first and only goal of the game was not untill the 87th minute when Hepburn headed to Ryan McArdle, who controlled the ball before hammering a strike into the roof of the net.

Glenafton desperately scrambled for a goal in the dying minutes.

Kick off on Saturday is scheduled for 1.45pm.
