Upperward curlers brush up well

UPPERWARD Ladies Curling Club champions from the season just finished were delighted to receive awards from the club’s Janet Telfer at the prize presentation night in The Mill Inn, Coulter.

Ruth Provan, secretary of the club which is based in Douglas. Lanarkshire, said that the 2012-13 season had been “another enjoyable year with exciting club games and interclub competitions”.

And she wasn’t wrong, with several members brushing up very well!
