Sounds International brings the hits for Prostate Cancer UK

Southside community choir Sounds International returns to Eastwood Park Theatre next week for its annual summer charity concert.

The one-off event on Wednesday, May 29 is to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK, a charity with one simple ambition to stop men dying from prostate cancer.

Under the heading of ‘Hits Through the Decades’, the packed programme showcases a diverse selection of some of the most popular songs from the 1920s right up to the present day, performed by members of the choir – with solo performances from its professional musical directors, conductor/soprano Ellen Mawhinney and accompanist/jazz pianist Dan Brown, both recent graduates of The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

An event not to be missed as last year’s summer concert was a complete sell-out.

The concert kicks off at 7.30pm and tickets costing £10 are available at Eastwood Box Office or by phone on 0141 577 4956.
