The event will take place at Shawlands Academy on Friday, June 7, 7-10.30pm, in the assembly hall.
Tickets are on sale for the shindig, which will feature music by the Borland Ceilidh Band, a Bhangra drummer and bagpiper, and performances and readings by pupils.
Shawlands Acadamy dates back to 1894, although there was a private school of the same name located in Skirving Street which began about 1857.
However, the school as it is known today opened its doors for the first time 125 years ago in the building on Pollokshaws Road which is now Shawlands Primary School. The current school building is based at Moss-side Road.
Tickets for the Summer Shindig are available from the Parent Teacher Council or online at Eventbrite.
