51 further coronavirus cases in East Dunbartonshire
The number of coronavirus cases in East Dunbartonshire increased by 51 in the last 24 hours, official figures show.
A total of 14,136 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in East Dunbartonshire when the UK coronavirus daily dashboard was updated on October 15 (Friday), up from 14,085 on Thursday.

Hide AdThe rate of infection in East Dunbartonshire now stands at 12,999 cases per 100,000 people, higher than the Scotland average of 11,023.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 44,212 over the period, to 8,361,651.
However, there were no new coronavirus deaths recorded in the latest 24-hour period in East Dunbartonshire.
The dashboard shows 219 people had died in the area by October 15 (Friday) – which was unchanged from Thursday.

Hide AdIt means there has been one death in the past week, which is a decrease on three the previous week.
They were among 8,907 deaths recorded across Scotland.
The figures include anyone who died within 28 days of a positive test result for Covid-19, and whose usual residence was in East Dunbartonshire.
Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death, so some areas might see their figures revised down.
The figures also show that nine in 10 people in East Dunbartonshire have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Hide AdThe latest figures show 83,693 people had received both jabs by October 14 (Thursday) – 89% of those aged 12 and over, based on mid-2020 population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
Across Scotland, 81% of people aged 12 and above had received a second dose of the jab.
