A South Lanarkshire drinking establishment has been handed a new "improvement required" food hygiene rating.

Biggar Golf Club, a pub, bar or nightclub at Public Park House, Broughton Road, Biggar, South Lanarkshire was given the score after assessment on April 8, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Lanarkshire's 244 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 218 (89%) have pass ratings and 26 (11%) require improvement.
