A South Lanarkshire takeaway has been handed a new "improvement required" food hygiene rating.

Masala, a takeaway at 10-12 Burnbank Road, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire was given the score after assessment on April 19, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Lanarkshire's 162 takeaways with ratings, 106 (65%) have pass ratings and 56 (35%) require improvement.
