A South Lanarkshire takeaway has been handed a new "improvement required" food hygiene rating.

Madras, a takeaway at 277 Glasgow Road, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire was given the score after assessment on December 20, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Lanarkshire's 168 takeaways with ratings, 126 (75%) have pass ratings and 42 (25%) require improvement.
