The popular bakery with roots in Fife has expanded into Glasgow with 3 new stores this year

Two Bayne’s bakeries have opened in Glasgow in the last two months with a third store set to open soon.

Bayne’s opened their first bakery in Glasgow City Centre at Buchanan Bus Station, right next to Gregg’s, on May 6 this year - with a second bakery opening at Govan Cross on April 16.

The third bakery will open in Cardonald on 1852 Paisley Road West on Thursday June 6.

Opening hours at Buchanan Bus Station Bayne’s are: Mon to Sat - 0600–1900 and Sunday 0700–1700.

Opening hours at Govan Cross Bayne’s are: Mon to Sat - 0630-1730 and Sunday - 0900-1600.

Opening hours at Cardonald Bayne’s are set to be: Mon-Sat - 0600 – 1700 and Sunday - 0800 – 1600. This brings the total number of Bayne’s in Glasgow up to 5 - including the existing drive-thru at Hillington and the bakery at Tollcross.

A Fife based bakery, the first Bayne’s opened as a family bakery in 1954 evolving from a butchers with roots as far back as 1921. The bakery is now run four generations in the running, and in the last few years have been expanding into franchises in the West of Scotland - with bakeries opening in the last few years in Wishaw, Motherwell, Kirkintillioch, East Kilbride, Rutherglen, Barrhead, Airdrie and Renfrew.
