Her self-produced, self-written track ‘Hospital Bed’ is an ’80s influenced synth pop track containing melancholic, heartfelt lyrics that describe her struggle with mental health.

All proceeds from the track released on February 25 will be donated to SAMH, The Scottish Association for Mental Health.

The song debuted on the Afternoon Show on BBC Radio Scotland earlier this week and has quickly gained support online.

Charly’s last gig was on December 8 last year, where she performed at Aberdeen’s ‘Sleep in the Park’, sharing the stage with Amy MacDonald, KT Tunstall and Eddi Reader.

Charly’s friends hope the song connects with others and encourages them to speak out about their own mental health struggles and to seek help.

They are not alone and they are worth their weight in gold. This world needs them in it.
