Baby of the week

PARENTS – The proud couple are Westfield’s Jim and Annette Wilson. Jim (35) is a lift engineer and Annette (30) is an area manager for textile chain Dunelm Mill. Jet is their first child.

PREGNANCY – Mercifully for Annette this was a straightford process which wasn’t too much of a disruption at all. In fact she was working in Manchester prior to maternity leave. She’s got good timing too. For Annette returned up north just in time – as Jet had his own idea when to appear. He was 17 days early!

BIRTH – Baby Jet is one fast mover. Annette arrived at hospital at 8.30 a.m. and a few hour later, he had made an early appearance. Dad was a brilliant support but bears a few scratches from the experience!

BABY – Fighting fit. Little champ Jet is putting on about an ounce a day and weighs 7lbs now.

NAME – This unusual choice is of course a a clever combination of Jim and Annette!

GRANDPARENTS – Annette and Alex Philips from Chapelhall. Jim’s mum Elspeth also lives in Westfield.
