The club posted dramatic video footage of the blaze on their Twitter account after it broke out early on Easter Sunday morning.

Firefighters were called just before 6.30am when the fire, at the single-storey complex in Carnoustie Place, was discovered. Huge plumes of smoke could be seen billowing across the sky.

Three fire crews tackled the blaze which caused extensive damage to the club's headquarters, although there were no casualties reported.
