Carluke Development Trust wants new members

PEOPLE in Carluke are being urged to support the town’s Development Trust and help with its various projects.

The Trust, which holds its AGM on Tuesday, May 17, in Kirkton Church, has big plans for the town – thanks to securing a large amount of funding.

Development Trust chairman Tom Sneddon said: “The Trust has recently won three significant grant awards relating to energy and climate change.

“We’re also looking at the possibility of establishing a business improvement district in and around the town centre.

“These are significant opportunities, both for the town and the Trust. We need to build the capacity of the board to reflect these new projects.”

The Trust also needs help to man the popular 10k and 5k races.
