Former bar manager at Finnieston pub Lebowskis accused of stealing over £26,000

A former bar manager at a popular Finnieston pub has been accused of stealing more than £26,000 from the business.

A 36 year-old man, James Killen, appeared in court yesterday to face a charge of stealing money from Lebowskis on Argyle Street in Finnieston four years ago.

Killen, who was employed as general manager of Lebowskis at the time, was alleged to have embezzled the cash from the pub between October 20 and October 30, 2018.

Court documents state that the total amount taken is £26,187.29. The former manager plead not guilty to the charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday, October 19.

Killen pleaded not guilty today to the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A further hearing has been fixed for next month - Killen’s bail was continued in the meanwhile.
