Other businesses supporting the event include Occasions, Jean Sinclair Shoes, Bakehouse Café, Gouldings of Rosebank and Teatime in Lanark.

Gill said: “This event is about the whole community in Carluke pulling together to help fund Cancer Research UK’s vital research into breast cancer.

“I’d like to thank Barry at Occasions who is being incredibly helpful inflating the balloons and actually delivering them to all the businesses who are taking part, and Alfie Macera who is supporting us again, by selling suppers and pizzas for £1.99, and donating £1 from each one sold.”

“Together we’re helping to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.”
