Robin, a director of the Jimmy Reid Foundation and editor of the Scottish Left Review, outlined his reasons for supporting independence at the hustings event organised by Gazette editor Julie Currie.

Lanark Memorial Hall was packed to the rafters with Gazette readers keen to hear the arguments For and Against independence, with Robin joining fellow Yes supporter, Clydesdale SNP MSP Aileen Campbell and Better Together backers, MP David Mundell and Professor Adam Tomkins.
